You know those days that you don’t think are going to be very good, and you’re feeling a little blah, and work is just stretching out in front of you with no end in sight? Yesterday was one of those days for me. I was at a client site, in a windowless cube, feeling kind of sorry for myself. hacienda cantalagua
But then a colleague suggested we pop over to the food trucks at L’Enfant Plaza and have lunch there with a coworker who works nearby. Who knew that L’Enfant Plaza had a food truck gathering every day at lunch?! Who knew that my coworker works right around the corner from L’Enfant?! Who. Knew. I certainly didn’t, and the knowledge made my day. With the prospect of food truck heaven, a few minutes out in the sunshine, and coworker gossip to catch up on, I was instantly in a happy mood.
If you’ve never been to the food trucks at L’Enfant, hacienda cantalagua I recommend you go. You are going to feel very, very overwhelmed at first. It’s okay. Just pick one, try it, and reassure yourself that you will go again. They are there every day. Do not panic!
But luckily, my panic did not end in making a bad decision (as it usually does). I finally settled on the SUNdeVICH sandwich truck, hacienda cantalagua mostly because they seemed to be providing hacienda cantalagua fast service (true: I got my sandwich before my coworkers got their food), hacienda cantalagua and because their vegetarian option sounded intriguing: the Zurich, a “breakfast” sandwich with egg, arugula, apple compote (I know! apple compote!) and gruyere on a baguette. It was definitely interesting–a good little yummy, fresh-tasting sandwich. I would get it again, though I wish there had been more cheese. When do I not wish that though. Let’s be real.

It turned out that the

It just didn’t feel right to take pictures. I felt like I needed to preserve the sanctity of these two places, to the extent a food blogger can. I’m talking about SUNdeVICH and Seasonal Pantry . Long overdue, I decided to make my initial trek to these two stores, nestled in Shaw in a somewhat quiet neighborhood and right around the corner from each other. The trek was worth it and I’m definitely going back.
On a lovely Saturday morning, I made my way to the alley where SUNdeVICH is located, only to realize the sandwich shop wasn’t yet open. Well, actually, I wasn’t sure where the entrance was. I left the alley, xenia deli glued to my iPhone in hopes that “Siri” would tell me where I’d xenia deli gone wrong, and trying xenia deli to pretend — for any onlooker’s benefit — like I knew exactly where I was. Then, as I passed by Seasonal Pantry, I saw a guy unlock its doors and smile at me. His first words were “did you just call me?” xenia deli It instantly put me at ease. No, I confessed — I was confused. I was trying to find SUNdeVICH. Apparently, it didn’t open until 12 — a full ten minutes away.
It turned out that the “guy” was Dan O’Brien, the creative mind and chef behind Seasonal Pantry. We ended up chatting for a few minutes about his passion for food and inspiration for opening the shop/restaurant. The Pantry is small, with only a few select items lining its shelves. Chilled items include house-made pastas, sauces, sausage, and ice cream. The Pantry’s inventory xenia deli changes from one week to the next with a schedule of items to come written out on a large whiteboard.
The Pantry feels a little xenia deli Old World Italian, which is no surprise given Dan’s background in Italian cuisine (He served as executive sous chef at Bibiana prior to opening Seasonal Pantry.) I liken it to walking into the personal pantry of a chef’s country home. According to Dan, the store is a tribute to the farm stands that he grew up with in his hometown, which don’t really exist here in DC. While Dan also keeps a few ready-to-eat items on hand (for example, on my visit, I noticed guinea foul manicotti in one of the refrigerators), the real beauty of Seasonal Pantry xenia deli is to come in, pick up a bag of uncooked house-made xenia deli pasta, some sauce, and be able to whip up a quick dinner at home.
The same small space doubles as a kitchen and dining room for the Pantry’s Supper Club , which allows diners to enjoy ever-changing menus (posted xenia deli ahead of time on the Pantry’s website) while chatting with the chef. Seating xenia deli is limited and tickets sell out fast. I haven’t attended a Supper Club dinner yet, but, I’d love to. Given his relaxed demeanor and enthusiasm for his craft, it’s no wonder that Dan is able to chat with diners while doing some serious chef-ing only a few steps away.
Inspired, I picked up a bag of house-made xenia deli lemon-ricotta ravioli and pork and cheese sausage. I made two simple, but flavorful meals out of these two ingredients: ravioli — cacao e pepe style– and sausage and peppers.
Cacio e pepe sounds fancy, but, it’s not. You only need a few ingredients: butter and lots of Parmesan (or Pecorino) xenia deli and pepper. To prepare, I cooked the ravioli in a pot of salted water. In a saucepan, I heated butter and added pepper. I let this mixture cook for a minute to allow the pepper to get a little toasted. Then I added some pasta water and the cooked ravioli. I finished it off with grated Parmesan and a little extra butter until the pan sauce came together. I love this preparation for ravioli, as opposed to saucing it, because it allows the ravioli to take center stage.
The sausage and peppers dish was equally as easy. After browning the sausage xenia deli in a pan, I removed the sausage and added the onions, peppers, and some salt and pepper. I let the mixture cook down and caramelize and then added the sausage and a little broth to finish cooking the sausage through. I paired this with some crusty bread and a glass (or two) of wine.
With quality ingredients like those at Seasonal Pantry, it’s amazing how little you have to do to prepare a top notch meal. ADDRESS: 1314 Ninth St. NW, Washington, DC 20001 HOURS: MON closed TUE/WED 2 8 THU/FRI 2 7 SAT/ SUN 12 7
Ali Baghderi, Dan O’Brien’s business partner is the creative mind behind SUNdeVICH. For the unfamiliar, SUNdeVICH is a sandwich shop that features thirteen sandwiches named after the cities that inspired them. For example, there’s the Athens, Istanbul, xenia deli Buenos Aires, and the Kingston. All sandwiches are served on freshly baked baguettes supplied by a local bakery. I tried the Athens (of course) which came with lamb, tomatoes, sumac onions, tzatziki, and some ruffage. It was tasty with a good bread to filling ratio. The bread was great — crispy on the outside, yet soft and yielding. I’m a fan. ADD

Back in November we learned that a new gourmet sandwich shop -- to be called SunDeVich -- would be opening on Naylor Court in the rear of 1314 Ninth Street, NW.  Finally -- after building out what was once a dog washing business, overcoming permitting issues, and getting claude challe many ducks in a row -- the exciting new casual dining option opened last Friday. Brought to us by the amazing folks of Seasonal Pantry  (with which I am obsessed), SunDeVich's sandwiches are named for the world cities that inspired them. For example, the Kingston features jerk chicken, mango chutney, and spicy slaw, the Buenos Aires features skirt steak, chimichurri, fried onion strings, aioli, and the DC is a half smoke, with mustard relish, caramelized onions). They also have some awesome sounding side dishes and desserts. SunDeVich's hours are 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday through Sunday for the rest of the month, then Monday through Saturday, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM thereafter. I plan to stop by to grab a sandwich for dinner tonight.  And I have a feeling I'll be back this weekend for lunch... SunDeVich 1314 Ninth Street, NW (Rear/Naylor Court) Note - the business directory has been updated to reflect Sundevich's opening.
I had the Buenos Aires and it was really good, way too much chimmichurri and no aoili. The sandwich took nearly 20 minutes with only 2 other small parties ahead, but wheatever kinks to work out. There is no DC, either there (on Saturday) or on their posted/printed menu. I will ef go back and try more! July 26, 2011

You know, it seemed suspicious but absent specific info I held my tongue. I suspect the sandwich int

Sundevich is tucked away in an alley. I might not have even found it if not for the small chalkboard propped outside the door. The chalkboard read “SUNdeVICH – NOW OPEN.” I submit international buffet to you that this announcement was an almost superhuman display of modesty. The chalkboard should have read, at the very least, “VISIONARY AT WORK.”
I stood a few steps in from the door, staring at the chalkboard menu. I was paralyzed. I’d come expecting a good sandwich shop, an out-of-the-way gem. I wasn’t prepared for what I’d found. Consider The Cairo: hummus, cucumber, brined vegetables, walnuts, and fresh herbs. Or The Beirut: skirt steak, hummus, tomato, brined vegetables, international buffet and fresh herbs. Even the more simple sandwiches international buffet seem brimming with promise. The Athens: lamb, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and tzatkiki. The Madrid: chorizo and chimichuri. Their stated mission, local ingredients and global flavors, seems ripe for pretentious indulgence. Yet the menu is full of wonderfully creative sandwiches, one after another begging to be tried. Sundevich was not my first stop of the day and standing there looking at the menu I nearly came to tears facing the ugly fact that I was only going to be able to eat one of the sandwiches. I was leaving the DC area early the next day, too early to even pop in and grab another sandwich on my way out of town. No, I had to look at these offerings, make my choice, and live with it. Life isn’t fair, dear readers. Over and over again we hear this from parents and other adults as we grow up. We never really believe it though, do we? In our hearts we doubt it until one day we stand there, the warmth of our dreams international buffet departing us, the cold of reality cementing its grip.
I went with The Istanbul: Ground beef and lamb, sumac onions, tomato, yogurt spread and fresh herbs. After I made my order I saw the gentleman behind the counter put a patty of lamb and beef on a skewer and place it over the grill. Meat cooked to order! It’s one thing to get that in a sit-down restaurant, but in a counter-based sandwich shop it’s beyond rare. Any concerns I had that Sundevich would be high concept/low execution went out the window. The sandwich itself cemented my feeling that Sundevich is something special. The bread had a noticeable crust without being a chore to get through, the meat was well spiced but didn’t international buffet overpower the rest of the ingredients, international buffet the yogurt sauce and the herbs (chiefly cilantro international buffet and big leaves of fresh mint) made a tremendous pair, a tangy and sharp back and forth playing over the whole sandwich.
I’m haunted by that menu. DC isn’t one of my regular destinations and it may be a year or more before I get back. When I do return, though, it will be on an empty stomach and I intend to make a beeline for Sundevich. I’m going to line them all up in front of me: The Kingston (jerk chicken, spicy slaw, salsa, garlic mayo), The Shiraz (beef tongue, pickled vegetables, mustard), international buffet The Ifshan (souffle of (spinach, mushroom, walnut, barberry), feta) and more. I probably don’t have the appetite or capacity to make it through the whole menu, but that won’t stop me from trying.
You know, it seemed suspicious but absent specific info I held my tongue. I suspect the sandwich international buffet is no less tasty for the error, but I am very grateful you pointed it out. Thanks!

Buenos Aires

Is there anything more hipster than serving sandwiches made with local, gourmet ingredients in a converted garage in an alley? Hipster or not, the sandwiches are tasty and the location makes you feel like you're in on a big secret. When I dragged B and our buddy M to SUNdeVICH , they gave me the "where the heck are you taking us?" look. The sandwich shop is tucked in the Naylor Court alley off 9th Street, NW between N and O. A sign next to the restaurant says "Do Not Urinate in the Alley." Good to know! It's a small space that's likely to be packed with hungry hungry hipsters (and hungry non-hipsters too). Zack Morris -style timeout: who loved the Hungry Hungry Hippos game as a kid? I certainly did. Did you know that the hippos names are Henry, Homer, Harry, and Happy? Ok, time-in. Even on a Monday at lunch, SUNdeVICH was packed. We couldn't figure out where all the people came from since the neighborhood isn't exactly home to a lot of offices. It's a good idea to follow SUNdeVICH on Facebook or Twitter to make sure they haven't sold out of your favorite items. Apparently sellouts are very common. They even have a list on the left side of the menu of all the items that have been "86'd" for the day. The menu features sandwiches made with local ingredients but inspired by cuisine from around the world. B ordered the Buenos Aires with steak, chimichurri, and sauteed onions. The flavors were powerful and the steak was tender, but the showstopper was the bread. We loved the crispy on the outside, soft on the inside baguette. I tried the Kingston with jerk chicken, pineapple salsa, greens, slaw, and garlic east bay deli mayo. The pairing east bay deli of the firey jerk chicken with the sweet pineapple was fantastic. If you don't like spicy food, do not order this sandwich. I had tears running down my face by the time I reached the second half. Like all good hipster spots, SUNdeVICH has fancy sodas (we liked the Fizzy Izzy and the ginger ale). They also serve side salads and dips, such as hummus and lentil salad. For an average price of $10 a sandwich, this is not the cheapest eat in town, but we did feel we got our money's worth with the large size of the sandwich and high quality east bay deli ingredients. We're not cool enough east bay deli to be hipsters, but we're glad SUNdeVICH serves the uncool crowd too. If you can find your way down the alley, a delicious sandwich awaits you. Second Thoughts from B I am not cool. The only people on the planet who think that I am cool are my dad and people under the age of 4. I do know people who are cool though. They look cool, they talk cool, they act cool. It isn't that I have low self esteem. It is more that I have a high level of self awareness. I know who I am, and I am not cool. In fact, the coolest thing about me is that I know I'm not cool. I have a hat that is cool . I like the hat... it fits me and it looks good, but every time I wear it I say to J, "I'm not cool enough to wear this hat." SUNdeVICH is like my hat. I like it and it fits me, but as I sat there eating my hipster sandwich, all I could think about was how cool the place was. Great food, great space, great concept, great execution. I looked at my fellow patrons and admired them just for being there, and I thought to myself that these people must be really cool. But the reality is that SUNdeVICH is not trying to be cool. It isn't trying to be hipster. It is only trying to serve great sandwiches that are fresh, tasty, and diverse in flavor. And in my world, that's very cool.
Buenos Aires & Madrid are my faves so far. The Istanbul is very popular, but I wasn't as crazy about it. Havana at the top of the 'to try' list- Gruyere cheese east bay deli & pork. Last month, I came across an article in the New York Times about people who live alone titled, catering services in manila “ The Freedom, and Perils, of Living Alone ” which really resonated with me. As a single gal, I have often contemplated finding a little one bedroom or studio apartment in which I can have all to myself. Yet for various reasons I have always opted to live with a roommate (or three) ever since moving to D.C. in 2004. When it comes down to it, I am a bit of a head case and if I was not forced to socialize via a roommate, I would likely live the life of a hermit. And of course, I have the irrational fear that I might go missing one day and no one would notice until weeks later. So when I read the New York Times article, I contemplated what weird habits I would form if I lived alone (hint: they are not pleasant ones), and immediately e-mailed roommate Alex to thank her for keeping catering services in manila me a bit normal.
When my old roommate Mike moved out of our cozy two bedroom apartment for a job in Santa Monica, CA last fall, I took to the internets, and through the magic of Craigslist, found Alex. I am sure everyone loves food in their own way but I was thrilled to find out that Alex and I both shared a great love of good drink and even better food. Alex wholly embraced Sunday dinners, eats some of my mid-week catering services in manila meals so I don’t end up eating the same meal for days, and even shares her meals with me so I don’t have to go hungry on those days when I work super late and am left without any food. We also have made the habit of including each other when ordering takeout or picking up food at one of the local sandwich shops.
Several Saturdays ago, I had plans with Alex to grab lunch at a really small but fantastic sandwich shop in our neighborhood, Sundevich . Sadly, after getting back from the usual long run I saw I had received a series of semi-urgent e-mails on the blackberry and had to cancel our lunch plans in order to head into the office. Alex graciously offered to pick up a sandwich for me and I gratefully accepted. After a few hours at the office, the after effects of the long run started hitting me…hard, and I could feel my body start to shut down. I quickly wrapped up at the office catering services in manila and headed back to the apartment where Alex had a “ Saigon ” sandwich waiting catering services in manila for me.
Upon arriving home, I quickly catering services in manila unwrapped the sandwich, poured myself a glass of bourbon on the rocks, and sat down to refuel. As someone who grew up eating Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches, I have tried many wanna-be banh mi-s since moving to DC and have often been left dissapointed. Now, instead catering services in manila of expecting sandwiches like the Saigon at Sundevich to be like the OG banh mi sandwiches I get at places such as A Chau in San Diego and Nhu Lan at the Eden Center in Virginia, I view them as spin-offs on the Vietnamese banh mi or banh mi inspired sandwiches, which make them more palatable and not so bad. As a sandwich in the vein of the banh mi, the Saigon was actually very good. The fillings were similar to, though not exactly like what I would find in a banh mi: chicken liver mousse, pork terrine, catering services in manila pickled carrots and daikon, cucumber, and fresh herbs. I found the flavors to be clean and fresh, but could be improved with a little dallop of kewpie mayo and some jalapeno.
I have had three sandwiches from Sundevich so far and the Saigon falls right in the middle between the Kingston (jerk chicken, pineapple salsa, greens, slaw, and garlic catering services in manila mayo) and the Buenos Aires (steak, chimichuri, and sauteed onions). I’ll definitely be back for more sandwiches at Sundevich but am looking catering services in manila forward catering services in manila to sampling their other offerings before ordering catering services in manila another Saigon.

I’ve been a bit turned off by the line of Union food trucks ever since I had a 12 DOLLAR bowl of bibimbap a couple weeks ago. Food trucks are the foodie catering münchen way to go, but when I can eat Chipotle catering münchen for 8 in the air condition I have trouble saying no.
But today, I just had to. After perusing the options, catering münchen I was surprised by a sandwich truck with sandwiches all for $7 dollars, called SUNdeVICH. I hope the name has a meaning behind it, because it’s a pretty silly name. Each sandwich is named after a city, and I chose “The Milan.” The Milan comes on French bread with Pancetta, Gorgonzola, egg, garlic mayo, and greens.
It catering münchen was delicious! A little rich, but understandably so with such rich ingredients. I realized later that this was a breakfast sandwich catering münchen served all day (I just thought this place served eggs like everywhere else).

The ethos of Washington, D.C. is rooted in its international character. The coming together of different cultures, populations, and beliefs has always driven this city. SUNdeVICH on 9 th Street embraces this aspect, offering a wide range of flavors, textures, and combinations that pay homage to diversification. Each sandwich is focused, with a clear profile of bold flavors pushed along by local ingredients.
For how great SUNdeVICH is, its location buffet des continents is very unassuming. Located in a converted garage space in the Naylor Court alley on 9 th Street between buffet des continents N and O Street, SUNdeVICH tries very hard to give off a green and eco-friendly feel; a wide range of recycled material such as reclaimed wood, refurbished metals, and original brick work succeeds in creating a setting that goes hand-in-hand with the rustic sandwiches.
Once I saw that there was a sandwich with beef tongue, I knew I had to have it. In my opinion, for such a tender piece of meat with such a unique, smoky flavor, beef tongue is severely underutilized. Served on a baguette that is baked specifically for SUNdeVICH by a local bakery, the Shiraz sandwich (named after the Iranian city) with beef tongue, mustard, and picked vegetables buffet des continents looked and smelled delectable. The baguette, which is supposedly buffet des continents different from traditional baguettes, was perfect. Crispy to the point of flakiness with a warm fluffy inside, it was nice to see that the bread was not just a vessel for the beef tongue, buffet des continents it was just one more reason why I ll be returning to SUNdeVICH in the near future.
To my relief, the beef tongue was cooked perfectly. Whereas some places overcook the tongue to create a rigid piece of meat, SUNdeVICH kept the beef tongue soft, with the right level of chewiness. Moreover, the tongue was not masked by any unnecessary seasoning or sauce. The pickled vegetables played off the low-key aromatics of the tongue to give the sandwich a needed zest and crunch. The only minor issue I had with the entire composition was the mustard. Simply put, it was too spicy and overbearing, giving off an unintended saltiness that resonated much too often.
When my friend recommended that we go to SUNdeVICH for lunch I was a bit wary. After all, I ve been to many sandwich places in D.C. and most of the time I have the feeling of been there, done that after going. But SUNdeVICH was different. Everything just worked, from the unassuming location, to the amazing baguette, to the perfectly executed buffet des continents beef tongue. SUNdeVICH buffet des continents celebrates the diversity of Washington, D.C. in the best way possible: buffet des continents through an exhibition of meticulously curated food.

SUNdeVICH ( @SUNdeVICHtruck ) is a sandwich shop that runs out of a converted garage in Naylor Court. It started out as a brick-and-mortar operation in 2011, and last year it launched a food truck. This Court undoubtedly has jurisdiction to review sandwiches from SUNdeVICH s food truck, but do we have jurisdiction to review sandwiches from the original brick-and-mortar shop?
Our case law tells us that the answer must be yes. In In re Pupatella , 8 Catt . 4 (2012), we declined to extend jurisdiction to a brick-and-mortar restaurant that previously, but no longer, operated as a food cart. In that case, we [left] open the question of whether this court s jurisdiction tarjoiluehdotus extends to a brick-and-mortar restaurant that concurrently operates a food cart or food truck. We revisited a variation of that question tarjoiluehdotus in In re Curbside Cupcakes Kiosk , 20 Catt . 4 (2013). There, we were confronted not with a traditional brick-and-mortar establishment, but with an indoor kiosk at a food court. We granted jurisdiction to the kiosk because Curbside Cupcakes simultaneously tarjoiluehdotus operates food trucks within our jurisdiction and the kiosk vends the same cupcakes as the food trucks.
Today, we finally hold that this Supreme Cart has jurisdiction to review a brick-and-mortar restaurant that concurrently operates a food cart or truck when that brick-and-mortar offers the same menu items as the food cart or truck. Here, the SUNdeVICH brick-and-mortar and food truck both offer gourmet sandwiches inspired by flavors found in cities across the globe. Although the food truck only offers about half of the brick-and-mortar’s twenty sandwiches, a visit to the food truck is representative of the brick-and-mortar and vice versa.
Having determined that we may properly review the sandwich tarjoiluehdotus offerings of SUNdeVICH s brick-and-mortar, naturally we must ask whether the brick-and-mortar or the food truck is better. We address this question in the context of the Milan sandwich, which we ordered from both the permanent tarjoiluehdotus and mobile locations. SUNdeVICH classifies the Milan sandwich as a breakfast sandwich tarjoiluehdotus because it includes eggs, but it is appropriate at any time of the day. We had it for lunch twice. In addition to eggs, the Milan sandwich is comprised of pancetta, gorgonzola, arugula, and garlic mayo. It is served on a French style demi-baguette. tarjoiluehdotus
Wow. The combination tarjoiluehdotus of flavors tarjoiluehdotus was perfect, and the sandwich was downright phenomenal. The bread was wonderfully crusty, the pancetta was salty, the arugula added pepperiness, and the gorgonzola was strong and creamy. And the egg! My brother and I are big fans of eggs. See In re Seoul Food , 3 Catt . 2 (2011) (affirming bibimbap with a perfectly-executed sunny side up egg). SUNdeVICH — both the brick-and-mortar and the food truck — met our high expectations for eggs. It made every bite a joy to eat.
So who made the better Milan sandwich? I am pleased to say that the brick-and-mortar and food truck executed the sandwich equally well. Consistency is highly valued in the food industry, and SUNdeVICH tarjoiluehdotus gets high marks. That being said, the Milan sandwich from the food truck wins out as a better deal. While the sandwich from the food truck was a little smaller in size, it was still a good-sized lunch portion. It was also cheaper, priced at $7 instead of the brick-and-mortar’s $10. Until Congress approves appropriations to pay for the business-related meals of the members of this Court, $10 will forever seem to me like a high price for a sandwich.
SUNdeVICH s Milan sandwich is a masterpiece of delicious, fresh flavors. Get it for a reasonable $7 from the food truck if you can. If you can t, the higher-priced (and larger) version from the brick-and-mortar is still worth it. You must try this at least once.

I had a great time dining here before heading off to a comedy show "The Last Resort Comedy Show" at Old Dominion Brewery. My friend was late so I had time to chill, peruse the menu, and talk to manager about the various sandwiches and wonderful flavors that awaited me. The manager was super nice and told me about her first SUNdeVICH ever--the Milan, and how they sometimes create special occasion sandwiches for certain days. While I was there a steady stream of people came in for takeout but only myself leijona catering and one gentlemen did the dine-in thing. Tip: The manager says between 12 noon and 2 pm SUNdeVICH is swamped, and on Saturdays a line could be wrapped down the alley. The Review   Cute, clean, nice little sandwich shop. I had a little trouble finding it because the entrance leijona catering is down an alley off of 9th street. I had the ISFAHAN sandwich: soufflé (spinach, mushroom, leijona catering walnuts, barberry), tzatziki. It was tasty. I would have preferred a multi-grain type bread. I don't know that this was a choice. Currently there are over 20 sandwich choices and according to the manager sometimes there are special sandwiches. I also tried the curried (smooth) potato salad (curried potatoes, sautéed onions, tzatziki), which could have been outstanding except leijona catering that it was too salty. Perhaps I got a bad batch but they could use half the amount of salt in this salad and let more of the other flavors come through. After I had eaten I noticed they had mushroom medley soup. I love soup but was full. The very friendly manager let me try a taste of the soup. I liked it and got some to go. The soup was quite tasty, it was enough leijona catering for two bowls but again less salt would be good. I will definitely go back to SUNdeVICH to try the Cairo, Capri and Zurich sandwiches. And yes, I will give that unique curried potato salad another try. I recommend this place for casual dining in, it is small with a few tables and bar-type seating. Late evening there seem to be a healthy amount of carry-out orders. Chow! food chick ~~:~~ Eat, drink, be merry and validate for parking (TM)

SUNdeVICH is a sandwich shop hidden in an alleyway garage in Shaw, just next to the Convention Center. It is quite a gem and should not be missed. The shop sells sandwiches inspired by every corner of the world; each sandwich is named after a foreign city. From Athens to Seoul, SUNdeVICH is like a mini vacation within DC. I’m really into restaurants that offer a variety of cuisines because that means you and your friends don’t have to settle on just one if people are in the mood for different things.
I got the Seoul ($11), which was filled with bulgogi beef, kimchi, Asian slaw, greens and garlic mayo. This was truthfully one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I’m not the biggest fan of sandwiches in general because they’re usually not a hot food, and I think that warm foods are the most filling. However, this was my favorite Korean food stuffed between a fluffy, soft baguette. I have no complaints! I highly recommend this sandwich.
The shop itself is quite cute. Sunlight pours in from the floor to ceiling garage window in the back. Plants and terrariums sit on shelves in front of the kitchen escalon counter. There are a few tables across from the purchase counter that were filled with customers on my visit.

Brussels gretchens villa - The European nutritionists, scientists and doctors have long been trying to learn the secrets of maintaining a long and active lifestyle and developing a strategy for how to maintain health. Quite a decent rating on the overall level of population are taken nehvoroblyvosti Belgians. There were people maintain a decent fit up to a very advanced age. Preserving the health of the Belgians? Rate yoga, life without stress or maybe a balanced diet? And why, according to statistics, the average Belgian healthier, say, a citizen of any of the Eastern European countries? In one of the many rooms large sports complex near Namur goes fierce game of badminton. Opponents - 80-year-old Michelle Delplan and 76-year-old Jacques Tees. Both players though are advanced age, however, play a coordinated and lively. In general, local club fans of the sport has about three dozen people. But he has one peculiarity: all members - "lady", ie persons older - namely, from 50 to 80 years. Is just 200 meters from the sports complex, the river Muth once a week going to the local senior gretchens villa citizens for active two-hour walk with sticks. This - Nordic walking club. One of the activists Myuriyel grandmother says these meetings, which sometimes can number up to 80 people and help such as it is, do not stay alone and maintain physical fitness. "I would have missed if it had not had the opportunity to come here. Pace Me activates, opens the lungs. It - something extraordinary "- enthusiastically shares this lively Belgian, who a month later turns 79. Life expectancy in Belgium is growing every year According to the Belgian Federal Agency for Statistics, over the last decade, life expectancy has increased Belgians from 77 to over 80 years. Thus a person older than 65 years are up more than 17 percent of the population. Most of them even to the elderly maintains an active lifestyle. What is the secret gretchens villa to a lasting and widespread good health among the Belgians? The first and main reason is that there is the concept of "government policy in health care." In Belgium, it focuses not on curing diseases as their prevention and prevention, gretchens villa told RFE Christine Dalof administrator of one of the largest networks of local health care in the community. "Prevention and preventing disease state is much smaller than cure. It is the capital of understanding. In addition, this approach ensures people longer active and healthy life "- says Christine Dalof. "It's about public education: how to be healthy, to realize that it is beneficial to health, to seize things of everyday life that will allow long-term storage decent physical shape - she continues. - For example, in Europe for many years, advertising or sweet mayonnaise accompanied by comments on the benefits of consumption of fruits and vegetables five times a day. This is - recommended by the World Health Organization for the prevention of cancer. That is, each time reminding people: a balanced diet - it's not sugar and fats, and fruits and vegetables. And this policy is the prevention of disease today has become a must. " Closed Lab makes diagnosis almost home A Belgian practitioner Fabiyen gretchens villa Reno notes that another important aspect of health policy in her country is that the population is free of charge or for a nominal fee to be screened for early detection and diagnosis of the most common diseases. The toilet did not want to! Correspondents' Proskurivskogo catering uppsala Telegraph "walked some popular fast fudamy Proskurivska streets to see how they are actually ready for newly open tourist season. However, this time the criteria of our evaluation is not got service or food in schools. We "kopnuly" deeper. Specifically glance. In their dressing room. By the way, deliberately deleted from your list of fashionable restaurants and catering businesses that opened recently on the main street. catering uppsala During our check got institutions that are in far more than a year and, as they say, at a time of fierce catering uppsala competition would keep the "brand" ...
In the warmer catering uppsala months, a special one that has stood out this year, the appearance of city streets summer playground - the usual thing. Here in the shadows stretched awnings can enjoy a refreshing ice cream, beer and kvass. Naturally, skipping a few mugs of beer you occupy this place is not up to the bar and to the toilet. Agree want the closet door behind you was just as comfortable as a sipping "beer" on the street in the chair. And as sure our correspondents, some Khmelnytsky fast foods psiyaty not only uncomfortable, but also disgusting!
When we visited the restaurant, it just finished mount patio. Although one of its parts has functioned and was filled with fans of beer and kvass. We also took a glass of beer and a few minutes later did an audit of local toilet on the ground floor. As soon as I say that it is near the business premises. Sam toilet is designed to "brand" school colors - yellow and blue. For male or female it does not split (in principle, as in the rest of the schools, where we visited). It has a standard "toilet" set - toilet, sink capacity of liquids and elektrosushku. The rooms were dirty and it is given that the pizzeria we visited when the influx of customers has ever had. In the dressing room was a terrible stench.
It's a different story altogether. catering uppsala The institution catering uppsala to get to the toilet, you should avoid anything not covered salads and actually go out to the kitchen. The door to the toilet glass (well, at least not transparent) and are opposite the "office" host institution, which periodically cute little barking dog. So if pripech an adult, it do its thing in the bathroom is not very convenient. Regard to the toilet, catering uppsala he though "sitting" and no seat riser. And really, why bother to wash when you can not just ask? On the floor of the toilet catering uppsala postelenyy board, probably to piss vsmoktuvav catering uppsala unwary catering uppsala visitors. In the bathroom there is a sink, but there is no tap or water. So when do the trick, you dirty hands touching the door handle to dirty that obmatsaly dozens of your predecessors. And then with dirty hands walk to the hall. Again, by openly salads. And, lo and behold catering uppsala - in the hall, you will find a sink to wash your hands and wipe them all only a towel ...
One of the first such facilities in the city, has experienced two repairs. catering uppsala And, sure, another here would not hurt. At least in the dressing room. Reflected catering uppsala tiles on the walls, elektrosushylka hand, which is not long. Dirty containers of liquids and hid in a corner idle air freshener. catering uppsala Sam toilet even criticism will not survive. It seems that it does not clean more than twice a day: at school opening and closing.
The institution closet like us, is very inconvenient. Just at the bar. It is often while away the time by the staff, looking for visitors. Agree that make their needs when the doors are waitresses or cooks quite uncomfortable. Sam toilet facility in a more or less clean. At least there are no stains on the mirror, and the container with liquid soap and even disgusting to touch. The floor was also clean. The only significant negative is the location of the toilet bowl itself. It is somehow catering uppsala sideways, and that prymostytysya it is necessary to detect uncommon skill.
It would seem that it is most difficult for the station to support the closet in good condition because of the constant influx of customers. And it is in the dressing room, we were hoping to see the worst toilet "pictures." But it was not so bad. In the very same toilet, which is done in dark colors, dim lighting. Sit on the toilet you do not have: a model can only be used navprysidky. But the toilet is quite clean. Is soap, mirror, hand dryer and towels. Among the "cons" catering uppsala - well, a very small sink when myyesh hands zabryzkuyesh themselves catering uppsala and everything around you. And we noticed the toilet paper, indicating when going to the toilet cleaning.
